GG_VILA | Renaissance of Traditional Architecture
01. Project Introduction
GG_VILA in Peja is a special renovation project that demonstrates how an existing structure can be transformed to adapt to contemporary lifestyle demands and style. The main challenge was preserving the identity and some characteristic elements of the original building, while simultaneously giving it a completely new, modern, and functional spirit.
Through intelligent intervention in the facade, color palette, and reorganization of exterior spaces, the villa has been transformed into a comfortable living oasis that coexists beautifully with the rich nature of Peja.

03. Intervention Characteristics and Design
Within an area of 400 m², the renovation process focused on creating a dialogue between the traditional and the modern:
Harmony of Natural Colors: The new facade is characterized by a unique combination of olive green and mustard yellow. These organic nuances not only make the building stand out, but also integrate it perfectly with the surrounding trees and greenery.
Character Preservation (Roof): The traditional form of the red tile roof has been carefully preserved and restored, serving as a connecting bridge to the building's history and local architecture.
Dynamic Terraces and Balconies: The intervention has expanded exterior spaces, creating a spacious terrace on the upper floor – equipped with an open-air work corner (outdoor desk) and a dining area. Solid balcony screens offer visual privacy without changing the pure volumetry.
04. Renovation Vision
"Renovation is not just a change of appearance, but an opportunity to give a second life to a structure. With GG_VILA, we respected the traditional roof, but dared with colors and opened spaces toward light to create a modern home full of character."
Connection with the Outside: New glass windows with dark-colored frames create an elegant contrast and allow natural light to flood interior spaces.
Curated External Lighting: The placement of minimalist lighting fixtures on the facade (wall sconces) creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere during evening hours.
Multifunctional Spaces: The new terraces are designed to serve dynamic living – from relaxation and family dining, to working from home in the fresh air.
