01. Competition Concept
This project represents an avant-garde approach to the design of educational spaces for children. Conceived as a sequence of colorful and rhythmic modules, the kindergarten breaks the monotony of traditional institutions. The facade is characterized by windows of monumental dimensions that blur the boundary between the indoor environment and outdoor nature. Each module functions as a unique "little house" with its own color and identity, helping children build a sense of belonging and easy orientation.
02. Project Information
Technical overview of our competition proposal:
KINDERGARTEN Competition
Year: 2024
Area: 3000 m²
Typology: Education
03. Key Design Features
During the conceptualization of this 3,000 m² space, our focus was on creating a warm, transparent, and inspiring environment:
Transparency and Maximum Light: Large glass facades allow natural light to flood into every classroom, creating a healthy and optimistic atmosphere for daily activities.
Learning Through Nature: Classrooms open up visually and physically towards the outdoor garden, turning the green courtyard into a natural extension of the learning and play area.
Stimulating Colors: The use of earth tones and pastel colors on the facade (such as terracotta, light blue, and ice blue) was chosen to stimulate children's creativity without creating visual overload.
04. Architectural Vision
"We believe that architecture for children should be open, safe, and full of light. This project is designed to encourage interaction, where the outdoor landscape and life inside the classroom become one."
Scaled Design: Clean geometric formats that adapt to children's spatial perception.
Energy Efficiency: The large windows are equipped with high-performance thermal glass, maximizing passive heating during winter.
Social Space: The green courtyard serves as a meeting area for children, educators, and parents, fostering a sense of community.
